  • Structural Components
    • Columns:
      • Structural steel tubing shall be used.
      • Square tube to be ASTM A500 Grade B with a minimum yield stress of 46,000 psi.
      • Round tube to be ASTM A500 Grade B with a minimum yield stress of 42,000 psi.
      • Sized to meet or exceed specific project design load requirements.
      • Each column provided with a 4" electrical access opening and cover.
      • All framing members, base plate and top plate will receive one shop coat red oxide primer.
    • Base Plates:
      • ASTM A36 structural steel plate with a minimum yield stress of 36,000 psi.
        Plate to be minimum 1" thick with welded gussets.
        Shop fabricated with pre-punched or pre-drilled bolt holes.
    • Top Plates:
      • ASTM A36 structural steel plate with a minimum yield stress of 36,000 psi.
        Plate to be minimum 5/8" thick with welded gussets.
        Shop fabricated with pre-punched or pre-drilled bolt holes.
    • Structural Framing:
      • ASTM A572, Grade 50, minimum yield stress of 50,000 psi, wide flange steel beams shall be used.
      • All framing members will receive one shop coat red oxide primer.
    • Structural Connections:
      • ASTM A36 structural steel connection plates with a minimum yield stress of 36,000 psi.
      • All framing members shall be shop fabricated for bolted field assembly.
      • Domestic ATSM A325 high strength bolts shall be used.
      • Flange and purlin bracing as required.
    • Anchor Rods
      • F1554.
      • 1-1/4" diameter x 30" long rod with a tack welded nut.
      • Threaded projection above footing shall be 6".
      • Double nuts and washers for each bolt shall be provided, one set to be used for plumbing and leveling.
      • Templates for setting anchors will be provided upon request.
      • Templates shall be removed before setting column on foundation.

  • Deck Panels
      • ASTM A653SS with a minimum yield stress of 50,000 psi, having G60 galvanized surface.
      • 20 gauge, 16" wide x 2-5/8" deep roll formed, steel panels.
      • Panels are fastened to the wide flange purlin with an engineered screw type clamp and locknut system.
      • No splicing of deck panels allowed.
      • Panels shall have a finished side coated with a full coat of polyester paint baked on over a urethane
        primer. A whitewash coat applied over a urethane primer shall protect reverse side.
      • Panels to be manufactured in sufficient length to avoid unnecessary center gutters.

  • Fascia
    • Laminated Panels
      • 24 gauge sheet metal.
      • Factory assembled in 10' lengths.
      • No exposed fasteners on bottom or exterior face.
      • Panel core material.
      • Panels shall have a finished side coated with a full coat of polyester paint baked on over epoxy primer.
        A white polyester wash coat baked on over primer shall protect reverse side of panel.
      • Backer sheet, of laminated panel, to be G60 galvanized sheet metal with a clear polyester glue-able primer.
      • Panels also available in .032, .040, and .050 aluminum.
    • ACM Panels
      • 3 mm aluminum composite panel material is an option for laminated panels.
      • Available in various sizes and colors.
    • Fascia Attachment Systems
      • Fascia support brackets to be 20 gauge galvanized steel.
        Formed to 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 8" long

  • Accessories
    • Gutter
      • Straight sections to be ASTM A653 with a minimum yield stress of 40,000 psi having a G60 galvanized surface.
      • Straight sections are 8" wide x 4" deep, 22 gauge steel.
      • Straight gutter sections shall have a finished side coated with a full coat of polyester paint baked on over epoxy primer.
        Interior surface shall be protected by white wash coat of polyester paint baked on over epoxy primer.
      • Radius corners to be molded fiberglass with a white gel-coat finish matching perimeter gutter.
    • External Drains
      • Column collector box is square, one-piece fiberglass, with a white gel-coated finish.
      • 4" x 3" 24 gauge, roll formed downspout with watertight locked seams
      • Downspout exterior, pre-painted white or bronze polyester paint.
      • Downspouts shall be of one continuous length up to 15' in length.
    • Internal Drains
      • Fabricated PVC gutter connection.
      • 3" Schedule 40 PVC and 4" Schedule 40 PVC.
      • Fernco couplings.
    • Hardware
      • Gutter to deck fasteners shall be #14 x 7/8" long, self-tapping screws.
    • Sealants
      • Tube sealant shall be 100% silicone and/or urethane caulk.

  • General Notes
      • All materials are new and without defects which would lessen quality of work.
      • All materials will conform to the requirements, tolerances, etc. of the latest editions of the AISC Manual of Steel Construction,
        AISI Specifications for the Design of Cold Formed Steel Members, ASTM Standard Specifications for General Requirements
        for rolled steel plates, shapes, sheets, and bars for structural use, and AWS for welded connections.
      • Canopy erection drawings to be furnished at time of shipment. Piece marks included for field identification of all major parts.
      • Anchor bolt setting plans include a required footing size.
      • Upon request, design calculations or a letter of design certification, sealed by a registered professional engineer, licensed
        in the state in which the job site is located, shall be provided.
      • All A325 bolts shall be tightened by turn-of-nut method, calibrated wrench or direct tension indicator.
